RAD programme for the reversal of chronic conditions

The RAD programme is a programme that was designed for the recovery of Autism and the reversal of chronic conditions that affect adults and children. It aims to identify and address the cause(s) of these chronic conditions and to increase resilience.

A chronic condition is often defined as something that develops over a long period of time for which there is no cure, only drugs to lessen the symptoms.

There are many factors that can influence the onset and progression of a chronic condition. These factors are often referred to as stressors. A stressor is defined as anything that causes stress to the system. A stressor can be a stressful thought, emotion or trauma but there are physical, environmental, dietary and chemical stressors as well.

A person’s health status is the nett result of the amount and severity of the stressors on the one hand and a person’s resilience to combat these stressors on the other hand. The stronger the body, the more stressors it can handle, the weaker the body, the more vulnerable it becomes and the less stressors it can handle.

To reverse a chronic condition, all of these stressors need to be addressed. If you have a boat with many holes, you need to plug all of these holes or you will still sink, albeit maybe at a slower rate. At the same time, it is a good idea to optimise the resilience, so that the body will be more capable to deal with future stressors.

When the stressors are removed and the resilience is increased, the body can heal itself again, providing it has enough nutrients to do so. This usually requires the addition of nutrients in the form of supplements as detoxification, healing and repair processes require an additional amount of nutrients.

The RAD programme is a simple 3 step programme that addresses all of the above.

Step 1:

Remove 

Every person has a unique set of stressors, which we need to identify before we can deal with them.

To gain an insight into the amount and nature of environmental, dietary and chemical stressors, as well as your body’s ability to deal with them, it may be useful to do some Functional Pathology tests.

A DNA test may be useful if you want to find out whether your body can detoxify well or whether you have a gene that predisposes you for an exaggerated inflammatory response or a higher vulnerability to sports injuries.

Kinesiology testing or bio-energy testing is an excellent tool for finding emotional and dietary stressors. You can also use it to find out what the Causal age of a stressor is (Causal age is the age that the stress or trauma was experienced).

Once we have identified the stressors, we need to find out where to start. I use Kinesiology testing to determine the “Percentage cause” of each stressor, which is a measure for the severity/weight of the stressors. This helps to determine where we need to start, as it is no use spending 90% of your time and effort on 10% of the problem.

Depending on the nature and severity of a stressor, any number of therapies may be used to deal with this stressor. Homeopathy, Kinesiology, Integrative Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Australian Bush Flower Essences and Essential Oils are excellent therapies to deal with emotional stressors.

Nutrition Medicine, Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine and Bio-Medical Therapy are more suitable therapies to deal with dietary, environmental and gut related stressors.

Step 2:

Add

Once we have found out what the stressors are, we need to find out what the body needs to heal itself. Detoxification is hard work for the body and requires extra energy and nutrients. Nutrition Medicine, Naturopathy, Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy, Essential Oils and Kinesiology are the therapies that are most suitable to determine what needs to be added to the body so that it can heal itself. This can be nutrients, herbs, a homeopathic remedy or liposomal supplements to help the body detoxify, reduce inflammation and heal.

Step 3:

Diet & Lifestyle

There is no such thing as the best diet for everyone, because we all have different genes, age, cultural backgrounds, environments and a different set of stressors.So, how do you determine the best diet and lifestyle for someone?

Bio-energy testing (or Kinesiology testing) is a great way to determine what foods are stressors to your body and which ones are beneficial. It is free, can easily be done during a remote consultation and I have found it to be very accurate.
